1. Overview
Lexdate is billed as a recurring subscription (monthly or annual) through Razorpay or Paytm. This policy explains that payments are non-refundable and how to cancel your subscription so that you are not charged again.
2. Free plan
The Free plan does not require payment, so no refund questions apply to it.
3. Paid subscriptions — no refunds
When you upgrade to Basic, Pro or Chamber, your plan is activated immediately and you get immediate access to the paid features. All subscription payments are final and non-refundable, including partly used, unused and annual billing periods, and including when you cancel or delete your account part-way through a period.
We recommend trying the Free plan first — it is free, does not expire, and includes cause list matching, case status and order downloads for up to 5 matters.
4. Payments charged in error
The only exception is a payment taken in error — for example a duplicate charge, or a charge that did not activate your plan. If that happens, write to us with the payment reference and, once we have verified it, we will correct it by refunding the amount that was charged in error or by activating the plan you paid for.
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| You change your mind or stop using Lexdate | No refund; you keep access until the period ends, then your chamber reverts to Free |
| You cancel or delete your account mid-period | No refund for the current period |
| Duplicate or failed payment charged in error | Corrected once verified |
5. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the app's subscription screen. Cancelling stops future renewal charges; you keep access to your paid plan's features until the end of the billing period you already paid for, after which your chamber automatically moves to the Free plan. Your matter and client data is never deleted as a result of cancelling a subscription.
6. Auto-renewal & UPI Autopay
If you authorize a recurring payment method — including a UPI Autopay mandate — for your subscription, it will be charged automatically at the start of each new billing cycle at your plan's then-current price, until you cancel. You can view and cancel an active mandate both from within the app and from your bank's or UPI app's mandate management screen.
7. Contact for billing queries
