What a cause list app should do
The cause list is the court’s daily schedule: which case is listed before which judge, in which court number, at which serial. For an advocate with dozens of matters, finding your own cases inside thousands of listings is slow, repetitive work — and missing one is costly.
Lexdate does that search automatically. When the court publishes a cause list, Lexdate reads it, matches it to your AOR roll number and to your saved matters, and shows you a clean, dated list of your cases.
How Lexdate handles the cause list
- Matched to your AOR roll number. Register once; every future list is searched for you.
- Court number, serial and judge. Each listing shows the court, the serial number and the bench, and the daily PDF lists the judge for every court.
- Running serial while court sits. While court is in session, the app shows the court’s current serial number under each case and turns red when fewer than nine cases remain before yours.
- Bench arrangement notices. Changes to which court hears which cases are picked up and matched to the court numbers that affect you.
- Alerts. On Basic and above, get a notification when your cause list is ready and when a specific case is listed.
- Daily PDF. Download or share a clean PDF of your cause list for any upcoming date.

Lexdate works with the Allahabad High Court at both its Prayagraj and Lucknow benches. Case lookup by CNR number is available for the Supreme Court of India. More courts are planned.
